HOPCoin

The Problem

HOPCoin is a next-generation loyalty program platform for craft brewers, replacing traditional paper-based punch cards with an interactive, gamified taproom experience. Our challenge with HOPCoin: create an appealing modern design and application with security and transparency in mind.

The Solution

Our technology strategy was to bring the security and transparency of blockchain to a large-scale loyalty rewards program. We delivered several blockchain-based prototypes to service digital tokens, backed by a pint of beer.

The end result was an engaging experience for beer fans to use mobile phones to order beer, earn points, and redeem rewards. The forward-thinking design included QR-code menus and digital order flows – which became even more relevant during the COVID-19 pandemic.
