Secure myState

The Problem

The Colorado Governor's Office of Information Technology partnered with ETHGlobal on the rapid research and development of blockchain technology for government and public use. With the launch of a fully digital Colorado Drivers License, technologists are seeking secure yet transparent ways to store government-issued documents.

The Solution

At the ETH Denver 2020 Hackathon, we built a solution called "Secure myState". Our approach: to build an Ethereum-powered, IPFS-backed web application to file and view personal identification, business registration documents, and other legal information. State officials can use the application to digitally sign business documents and securely send messages to residents, who can in turn submit documents for approval and subscribe to digital notifications. This infrastructure can be used to manage and communicate critical information during a pandemic, election, or regular business activities.

We were granted 5 unique awards for our project submission.

Note: This was designed and built during a two-day hackathon event, and does not represent typical final deliverable quality.
