Creature Labs - Traveling Creature
The Problem
Creature Labs had already done the hard work of creating a dedicated community that aligned with their team both in values and culture. However, as the world of web3 continued to advance its technology, the team recognized the creative ways they could encourage their token holders to participate within the community and engage with each other. Our team was challenged to create a fun and easy to understand application that allowed Creature holders to mint new NFTs only by trading a token and allowing their creature to travel... And thus was born the Traveling Creature.
The Solution
The most unique aspect of this project was the ability to create a brand new artwork per token transfer in real-time. After defining and designing the UX of the application and minting experience, we developed a smart contract using Python and various web3 providers. It was built to capture the previous on-chain metadata of both the sender and the recipient's Creatures then compose and mint a new image on demand. The end result would be a unique NFT of a snapshot in time when their Creature traveled the world.
